Small Details, Big Impact

I love a renovation and I still have a few big ones I'd love to complete, but they won't be happening anytime soon. I also have quite a bit of furniture I still need to buy, but I try not to rush the process and wait until I find the perfect piece. So, sometimes progress stalls and I get frustrated.
Small changes can make a big impact and give me a sense of accomplishment. Sharing a few of my favorite small changes I've made below. Bonus, they're all under $100 so they are also easy on the budget.
1 / Add a tassel. They aren't just for furniture keys! Add one to your lamp, a dresser knob or your doorknob. I have and love this one and this one.

2 / Upgrade Your Trash Can. This is the best bathroom trash can. It has a lid. It has a liner. It is small, but not too small. I have it in every bathroom.

3 / Add a Tissue Box Cover. I don't think your tissues should call attention to themselves; so I don't want a cover that is particularly colorful or large (some of them are so much bigger than the box). This is my go to cover.
4 / Upgrade Your Soap Dispenser. It lives on your counter, so it might as well be beautiful. Here again, I don't want my dispenser to be a star. So I opted for something that would blend in. I have and love this one.

5 / Display a Book Open. I'm sure you have plenty of coffee table books (or a photo album?) stacked up on your tables and bookcases. Well, open one up and use this cute little bookmark to keep the page open. This is the display stand I used (not under $100, but I know cheaper versions exist). I have this book displayed below and love to change art based on the season.
