I was a bit afraid to look back at my 2025 project list, fearful I hadn't accomplished much of anything on it. But, I did! Not everything, but more than I thought. Plus, I managed a few projects not on the list - including some that were huge improvements in our everyday life.

What I accomplished that was on the list

  • Drapes in dining room

  • Frame & hang tapestry for landing along with art on opposite wall

  • Art for above dresser

  • Art for primary bathroom

  • Paint guest room

What I accomplished that was not on the list

  • Landscaping: We landscaped a section of our yard that was previously a mud pit. We also added trees along our fence line and I got into container gardening (can't wait to do it again this Summer!).

  • New couch. Our main couch was not wearing well and then started squeaking. I found my dream Lee Industries couch on Facebook Marketplace and I'm so thrilled with the shape, size, fabric, and color in our space! I shared more here.

  • Living Room Light. I've long been toying with replacing the living room light fixture, but I was having trouble committing to one. I went with this and am very pleased!

  • Bought a chair for a bedroom (another Facebook marketplace score). To be reupholstered.

2026 Project List

  • Reupholster chair for our bedroom

  • Find a bench for our bedroom

  • Art for above the bench in our bedroom

  • Decide on new paint color or wallpaper for bedroom. I think this should be the last thing I do in the room; allow all other elements to dictate.

  • Focus on one guest room or attic and begin to decorate it.

  • Rug for sitting area in Dining Room

  • Rug for Nook

I'd also like to be more consistent with blogging; sharing the small projects and changes (they're my favorite!).
